sort of correct , idle motors work perfectly on LTX8's with the GZE coil packs, every GZE (and most toyota's, nissan, subaru etc) i do uses the idle motor,

you just need to order the ecu with idle control, you use the 2 spare ign outputs for this, it works in closed loop as well so just set the rpm you want it to idle at and set the min and max openings and your done, if your ecu dosent have this and you have the gze coils send it to microtech and ask for the idle control to be put on it, it really helps with cold start just set the idle up amount and it will idle up nicely when cold,

if you have a FMIC on the gze that can be half the idle problems, make sure you have no air leaks in the core or it will never idle, a lot of these cheap import intercoolers leak air and cause a lot of problems,

if there are no air leaks it is tuning,
