TD42T: you could be right, not enough pressure to open the relief valve, maybe i'm not driving it hard enough maybe the 7mgte is alot tougher then i thought. But the thing is after a long drive (ie a few hours of constant driving) the car feels tired, lacks power and smells of hot oil after i've pulled up.
mrshin:Yeah i like to go WOT a few times a day, but i always let the engine warm up, and cool down after every drive, I'd like it to last until i get a 1jz, actually i want the 7mgte to help pay for the 1jz, so i should upgrade the oil cooling system anyway. If you have anything in particular that you can recomend let me know.
allencr: 7MGTE supra factory setup. But what your saying sounds like it would apply to my engine aswell. Maybe my choice of oil is the problem, it's possible? my oil pressure guage goes up near the max when i give it gas, so i know i at least have pressure, but i can't translate from mmHg to PSI(dash has mmHg for measurement)
Indian: yep i already checked the TSRM, They really don't show you much, just how the cooler is plumbed in with the system, how it comes apart. no trouble shooting section that i could find, or testing procedures etc.
