I save $550 on the excess ($1050 instead of $1600), & they've got no problems with legal mods either. They didn't really want to know about my car until I told them I was in a car club though because it was too new. I've never been without comprehensive insurance. In the 14 years I've been driving, probably paid out about $16000 in premiums, but claimed back about $40000 in damage (but had to shell out about $2000 in excesses). Considering my recent mishap ($15k+!! ) I definitely want it. Def chase up the insurance, Stef. you've got a cool car & the most often thing damaged in accidents is the exterior. BTW where did the kit come from? I've found a kit for mine, but its in Japan & I'm trying to find someone who ships bodykits to get it for me (They're more likely to look after it better).
