The carter pump in that pic can only be run in the one position mounted from the top , the fitting sizes are not bsb threads . And the studs use little rubber pads onto the mounting plate with doesn't stop any pump noise , yes even new those pumps are are very noisy . So you have to double the noise insulation with anti vib mounts , like a/c hose mounts  .
After all this the pump/mount etc is so long that you need lots of room under the car . Yes there have to be mounted under the car because the weap fuel and smell all the time . As for the weight of those unit , there maybe as much as three bosch units .
Current draw from the car i just relocated them in {yes the owner had to use ear plugs on long trips}, which had two was nearly 1Amp which is crazy compaired to the flow and pressure from them  .
With a bosch pump which has 70-80psi , flow for 500-550hp for $175 from them direct why bother with these . There are for tractors as Steve suggested , or inefficient old school v8s .
