That bit sounds all good, but this next bit........

So if it's a big 'ladder' style bearing cap, ie one big piece instead of 5 or so individual bearing caps (also known as a girdle?), it makes sense to intergrate the rear oil seal retainer, and maybe even the oil filter bracket, but the A/C compressor bracket? So does it stick through the sump or something?
Oh, and as for the intake manifold in a RWD, just pull it off & chuck on quads.
