oldcorollas Forums Junkie Location: Kita-Ku, Sapporo, Japan Registered: January 2003	Re: Anyone know what the $ value is for purchasing car parts from the US before you have to pay cust Thu, 07 October 2004 12:32 there is no minimum!!!! it's worked out like this. car part value x 15% = duty payable (car part value + duty + POSTAGE!!!!) x 10% = GST. if the total payable is over $50, you pay. if the good value is over $1000, you pay a processing fee to customs also. i think it is changing in 2005 tho, going down to 5% (check out the APEC tariff site) Cya, Stewart [Report message to a moderator]
