I was no saging them off , thats just my experience with that pump in question Skip. As of 044 , just because there on a vl doesn't make them a great pump {and the price is crazy for the spec }993t Porsche pump is cheaper by three times figure that out . I have removed and insulated so many of those pumps , there noisy and inconsistent in pressure once old . Why has nobody mentioned a intank pump ? i run a intake pump which can supply the correct fuel for the engine , backed up by a secondary pump for the surge system . The surge system is only there for the track , a well engineered intank is more than sufficient for the supply for most fast road applications . And ofcourse a intake is quieter than a external pump will ever be . But its not just the pump its the complete design of the system , i have seen lots of shiny pumps / tanks / lines / regulators , and once of the track they get to half fuel load cut out . I very expensive exercise in that detonated engine .
