if you are talkign abotu the rotary solenoid type (page 6), i have one of those and will be makingup a circuit to have in-car idle speed adjustment.

is just a 250Hz circuit which alternately grounds one coil or the other.. can't be that hard Wink (tho i have little electronic design idea Very Happy )

failing that, a good old swagelok valve will be used.
