I'm looking at buying a Z31 300ZX non turbo. The credit union says I have to get it comprehensively insured to be eligible for a loan. I had one stack last year. At a value of $6500, the NRMA wants $7000. Young and Cool want $4000 even though I haven't had an accident in the last 12 months. Many others won't even touch me. What's doing with these ridiculous quotes? Sure, it's a sports car, but completely stock with immobiliser, self arming etc, garaged at home, parked in the driveway at work, you'd think it'd be heaps cheaper.
