forced_induction Regular Location: Canberra Registered: August 2004	Toms TA22 now with MORE pics Mon, 11 October 2004 11:42 Thought it was a bout time i did a bit of an update. bought a new set of concept 5 style rims, and after putting them on discovered a bent rear left axle on the way from footy training. not knowing what it was, it was quite a scary experience having a rear wheel wobble and shake while making a terrible knocking sound at 60km/h. anyway i limped it home and spent a couple of weeks looking for an axle. eventualy found one at a wrecker, and for $100 and $20 for a new bearing my problem was fixed. After running fine for a month or so after, the car developed a bit of a miss, and eventually got to the point of one morning not starting at all. so after looking at the electrics with my dad we found the immobiliser was incorrectly installed. after rewiring this properly the car would start, but still miss. so we changed the points, which were completely charred, and found our problem almost disappeared. however, it still misfires at odd times, it is not a predicatable thing. so today we are replacing the coil and spark plug leads in a hope to fix this problem. Thats about it for now. Pics of car with new rims are further down the page.
