Axle tramp is virtually impossible to eliminate from live-axles. I watched a V8 Supercar slide slightly, and axle-tramp all the way around the outside of Forrest elbow on Sunday. The outside-rear was bouncing, then landing every 10-15cm, so obviously had fairly tight springs, tyres and shox. All you can do is change the frequency the axle bounces at, so that it happens rarely, instead of often. I think if you wind up the shockers firm enough to completely stop tramp, they'd just punch-out their chassis mounts!! You'd never get the weight - transfer on the road that you need to corner well either, not to mention the hell it'd cause in the wet!
