ke70 diff to fit ke55, possible?

I have a ke70 sedan sitting in the shed just waiting to donate parts to my ke55. I am going to use the 5 spd gearbox and take the 4k motor out as a spare to work on. I noticed just today that the diff on the ke70 uses a torsion bar, helical spring and anti sway bar, where as the ke50 has leaf springs. Is it a better idea just to leave the original ke50 diff in place and just turn the leaf springs over to lower it. This isn't entirely the only reason for looking AT THE POSSIBLE SWAP..
The diff on the ke70 looks like it is a bit stronger, as the tubes covering the half shafts look thicker on the ke70. The only thing that I have also noticed is that the springs on the ke70 have a place for mounting just above the inside arches, whereas the ke55 doesn't have a place to put helical springs.
Therefore, my question is... Can I use the ke70 diff on the ke55 coupe and still use my leaf springs. If none of this seems like a good idea, then what is worth keeping from the ke70 to use on the ke55? The rest of the car will be up for grabs once I have anything worth keeping for the ke55. The doors, bonnet, boot, front right quarter panel are straight as a whistle. everything else is fairly good on the car also. Any help would be much appreciated. Are the brakes on the ke70 better than what is on my 79 ke55? I really must get this project underway then get the spare car gone to someone who will need the parts on the ke70......
