question!

i know that a cap in series with a speaker acts as a high pass filter... but how?

it's the property of cap's, at DC voltage a cap is open circuit, at high frequency's a cap just acts as a short circuit.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor#Physics_of_ the_capacitor

and I should know the answer to your other question, but I don't Sad

Cheers
Wilbo
