I dunno about that man, your reducing your backpressure by doing that, and will lose power down low but will gain it up top. Adding a better air filter would allow air to be sucked in easier, but the airflow meter is still the same, so gains would be minimal. using top quality premium unleaded will probably see your most noticable power gains, as the ECU advances the timing.
