Megajolt light Junior will run your spark only with an EDIS unit.

the current megasquirt-n-spark has an EDIS option which is probably ideal for wat you're planning to do:
-you'd have to import an EDIS unit from the UK or USA (sealed unit thing)
-obtain a VR (variable reluctance) sensor (is similar to what a CAS might use but is -designed for the EDIS unit)
-attach/make a 36 tooth wheel to attach to front pulley
-obtain/build a MS unit
-assemble, test, configure as required
-wire-up, tune and then drive and continue tuning

get an account on www.msefi.com and scroll down to the "Fuel & Spark" section:

an spend some time reading and comparing - there is a lot of stuff to wade thru, so take your time and make notes.

EDIS is an stand-alone ignition computer (sub-processor i suppose) that runs a waste-spark ignition system for a specific number of cylinders. It only requires a crank sensor to determine position and will run limp-home mode (11 degree advance) if no data is sent from ECU. The EDIS unit only requires a signal from ECU that tells it how far to advance the timing. The EDIS unit will provide a clean tacho signal to the ECU as well as to the dashboard

The assembly code for the various MS variants is available via the forum and it is likely that some people are already developing code AFM instead of MAP... search and ye shall find... is probably more than just a table change as some of the fueling algorithims are based on using MAP data. But with MS being so open in it's design, it's likely that someone has attempted to rewrite to suit some kind of AFM.

If you want to control emissios then a CAT is probably essential - do you expect to be emissions tested once the ECU is installed?

cheers,
Charles.
