T1 and E1 the car has to have the ignition turned off when you bridge so that the ecu fires into diagnosis mode when it recieves power up then you can check the timing.



"Short the terminals before starting" would it matter if i can do it anytime as long as the terminlas are shorted, when i short the terminals the motor dies of a little anf the timing changes, thats right isnt it, and then you just change the timing as required.
