Actually the only other thing that is wrong with the car is the fuel guage. As far as the previous owner knows, it was working fine until it arrived here.
Anyways, the needle gets to half way fine, and then it just stops dropping. Anyone know if this can be fixed, or should I look into getting a replacement? I had a look in the boot, theres a small rectangular plate there that looks like the fuel guage thingy, am I correct here? My Chiltons manual doesn't cover this area unfortunately 
Last weekend I took it up to the coast. As I was leaving early in the morning (on my way to fill up) the car died. I was thinking the worst, naturally given that I'd just got the car. Then I realized I'd done 534km's since the last fill, so I figured the needle was screwed. Lucky a dude from up the street drove past, and took me to the servo to get some juice
