The t18 that i had was the '82 model. The one with the plastic bumbers. And all that i could say about them was that they stopped the car, about average really. I traded the thing for the car that i've got now, an ae82 seca twinky. Since your working a couple of days a week at a wrecking yard you would have a better chance of finding something that'll work better then t18 brakes. Some tips would be to look for cars that have bigger capacity motors and that are heavier in weight. Eg: Corona You might even have to do a complete strut swap. Have a look at jonny2tg's site and check out the brakes he's using.
