Benjamin Forums Junkie Location: Sydney Registered: January 2004	Re: Weight Reduction on Ta22, get the sucker real light Thu, 21 October 2004 12:45 Get something like a cold chisel and knock all the bitumen sound deadening from the firewall and floors. This may need a complete stripping of the interior (bar the dash) and is a bit of effort. You can save anywhere between 15-50 kilos doing this. But it will be pretty loud inside the cabin without the deadening. You could also paint the floor insted of putting the carpet back in but you may need some kind of organisation to neaten any wiring that may travel underneath it. If you want to spend some money you could get some of the windows replaced with lexan. Or remove the winder mechanism completely and have the window permanently up (im not so sure this is street legal) Get some proper racing seats which way nothing to replace the heavy-ish standards.
