Check your cold start injector is functioning correctly - it's bolted to the side of the plenum and has a steel line running to the fuel rail. Use a multimeter to check if it's actually opening when the engine is cold. It is triggered by a thermo switch in the thermostat housing, so if that's not working properly you have no cold start injector which makes it hard to start!
