sorry matt i'm in adelaide, otherwise i would take a look.
Yep it could also be the air valve, it sort of acts like a choke to let excess air passed the throttle body, hence increasing idle speed. Wierd thing is i also had this disconnected on my 2TGEU and it still started and ran fine! A good check would be to try and bypass this vavle and see what it idles at.
