The 32/36 Downdraft webber will do the job quite well. You can buy an adaptor plate to fit your manifold from Carburetor service company on Parramatta rd. Making the linkages work will be a mongrel but I think they do a kit for that to.
A second hand escort weber will prolly set uyopu back about $50 if your lucky but keep in mind its just as old so may also be farked ! A new one is over $400 last I enquired. They will supply and fit a new one but it will be outside your budget.
The 2TG is a better engine, In stock form tho it will rev a little better but will make FA more power than your 2T. A working 2T makes 12 HP less than a 2TG !
Depends what you want to get out of it but your budget doesn't give you many options.
