If you have a fairly simple direct injection manifold ( I have nfi about "Y" engines...) then for sure swap to that. You should get more power, which will translate to economy if you lift your foot 
For god's sake, get an intercooler... more power for sure and if the tuner richened the mixture to try to combat the detonation then you'll pick up fairly large increases in economy. you may also get the oppertunity to wind up the boost
