AE86 for sale in Tamworth NSW. Abandoned project due to uni time and uni student budget. No rego, will need blue slip. Probably good car to have off road and do up and get it nicely up to scratch. It was what I planned to do, but it never happened.
Specs as follows:
4AC about 270000km
Gearbox and diff seem alright, may need new clutch
Drum rear (needs pads and ?new seals)
Rust in following places:
..bonnet (looks very superficial)
..boot(fair size, but hatch unaffected)
..doors (both at bottom, partly repaired)
..RHS passenger window sill (20c piece size)
15" with 195?50 tyres with 50% tread (steel wheels from bluebird or similar car)
2.5" exhaust to canon
Kenwood single CD player 45Wx4 with Xplod 6x9s and 4s in front
Sparco pedals
Blue in colour (not sky blue, but darker)
Open to offers. The car drives but not legally as far as I know due to being out of rego. I also appreciate that Tamworth is a long way from everywhere. Post all questions, insults, and offers here or at: get.some.go.again@gmail.com
I will post general pics when I get time to get out and take them. Specific ones will be taken of areas of interest to give people an honest assessment of the car's state. I am not going to waste anyone's time by getting them out here if it's not exactly what they were expecting. If there is no interest then I am just going to give it to my brother and he can do it up. He's got the time and the money. As for me, when I graduate then I'll buy one of these 15k ones I see on here...
[EDIT] There have been numerous emails sent to me lately asking about the fate of this car. It sold for the sum of $800 back in October after lots of interest but no-one willing to come and get it in a reasonable time frame. It's in Armidale getting the proper bare-metal restore and 4AGE that it needs.
To other sprinter owners: don't sell if you can afford not to. It's such a fun car to drive and there's always a bit of regret and you'll always want it back. So I will get another one, in time.
