When the police here in Canberra did a big crack down on burnouts in the local Friday night car hang out of Braddon they used hidden cameras mounted on top of a nearby building to capture all the culprets. After about 3 Friday nights worth of secret surveillance they ran a story on the local news and showed a car from the footage, it was a bright orange corolla with a 4K engine and a locked diff (I know this because I had sold the guy two matte black front guards just a couple of days before he was filmed). it was pulling tight donuts for ages with a decent amount of smoke too and was shown in the news ads for several weeks after . Goes to show that it's not all about the power, it's also about how much you are willing to abuse your car If you are into burnouts you have to go to Summernats, it is "apparently" (though I doubt it) the Burnout World Championships!! Not bad for a bit of a look, but I usually get over it after a few cars. I am not really into burnouts but have done a few on a burnout pad for a television show. The 8 second drag car that was also being filmed out-did me pretty well though. Given the cost of tyres I usually limit mine to tyre warmers for drags and go to whoa events. The Summernats go to whoa event has a huge crowd and there is nothing like a bit of smoke and a quick run to get the crowd going. Most types of fun in the car abuse it in some way.
