Must be that massive stereo you put in without adding a larger battery to handle it.
You would tend to hear a slipping belt, they tend to make sounds like your engine is seizing, (very loud squeals). Take it to a battery place for a test, or call the racq man if you don't want the battery place to hard sell you a new battery.
Also, how old is the battery? If it's ~4 years, then you've done well and need a new one.
But in any case, be prepared to buy a new battery for worst case scenario.
