ive had the same problem, it gurgles when you give it too much foot, then it takes off.. the way i kinda stopped that was to set my base timing out a bit further than 12deg, and it goes away, well for me it did.. its all about adjusting the timing and then playing with your throttle, by pumping it to see if the response is any better or worse.. there is still just a touch of a flat spot but it doesnt gurgle when i give it everything i got.. although when i start mine up in the morning it doesnt like my accelerator very much, i give it 5mins to warm up and then muck about with it, i guess it just doesnt like the cold..
