I'll start by running a new earth from the battery, and a new cable from the alternator, clean terminals etc. Then see if it makes a difference. Then pull off the belts, check them out as you can't see them too well with 2 belts in front of it! A new belt can't be that expensive so I'll put one on...and see if that fixes it! Then if all else fails I'll look at getting a new alternator.
Water levels are fine and has just been charged with no difference. The battery came with the car so... I have no idea how old it is. But it doesn't look that old, I could try my boyfriends 500CCA one that is only 6 months old, that might work!
PS. I have to empty the radiator to get the belts... that is going to piss me off!
