Sun, 31 October 2004 08:04 ADELIADE - and dont give a FUCK what anyone thinks! positives 1. Weather - summer can get a little hot tho 2. Hills Roads - nuff said 3. Cheapest living city in Aust ( a whole day undercover parking is cheaper than sydney street parking for like 3 hours..) 4. the hachi scene 5. beaches 6. everywhere is 10mins - despite urban sprawl 7. space isnt a premium, u can still have a back yard 8. less speed cameras and cops than most places 9. it is big enough to be a city, but it feels like a country town 10. laid back mostly 11. v8 thing/drift days/rally etc 12. plenty of festivals negatives 1. it is trying to become modern.. 2. not quite big enough to be taken seriously by other cities 3. doesnt attract big name things...but most sell outs suck... 4. too many people know each other it is scary 5. too far from the snow 6. connecting flights NOTHING is direct! 7. distance from the snow 8. we get everything a bit later than other cities 9. stupid local govenrments ( 40km and shit like that ) 10.river torrens... people who say adelaide is boring are FUCKHEADS there is plenty to do... i love adelaide...
