club board members should be democratically elected.
none of this "I'm doing this because"

that goes for president, vice president and all other members.

and personally I think the first 'board' the vote is decided purely by those people willing to pay what it costs to get the club started.

Future board members can and SHOULD be any financial member of the club, but for the initial board - vote should be between those who pay up to get started, there's quite a lot of cost at the start and I'm sure a lot of people are going to 'skirt the issue' until we're up and running - or we have something to offer them.

Now don't get me wrong - I'm not saying Stef / Graham / anyone else shouldn't be club president etc ... I just think that you need to do it the right way - from the start.

That said - I certainly don't want responsibility of either president or vice president - I'm sure the right person for that job will get elected. (In fact I have no doubts on that one)
