What they all said. WD40 is like $5 a can, and the big one I have has lasted about 2 years. Go do it.

Also, turn the wheel so that the bolt is in a nice spot then take the keys out so the steering lock engages, keeping everything steady. Use a quality ring spanner or socket.

And when refitting with RCAs in there you'll need to be brutal/creative to get the strut sitting right on the steering knuckle.
