hmm fair enough. Another option (if for warranty reasons you are unable to change the lower bush  did you check to see if you could still get warranty? Its not like changing the lower bush is going to effect the shock now is it....I'd be interested to see what their response to that would be if you asked them) would be to either cut the original bracket and offset (back) if to account for the 60mm tube, or to fashion a new bracket.
not wanting to be rude! and if your happy with the results thats great!  just seems like their might have been easier ways to go about mounting them (just my opinion ).
