Wed, 29 May 2002 22:50 It looks like that u are trying to keep it as cheap as possible and the fueling system is one of the dear aspects of turboing? U can blow through the stock carb but u would have to completely seal the carby in a box and have the boost completley surrounding the carby. Having said this u still will have fueling probs in some spots of the rev range and in the long run prob det an engine, even at low boost settings especially if u like a few revs. There are webber carbs out there that can have 5-6psi blown through without being in a sealed box as we had one running on a datsun 1600 quite successfully for about a year they are not a side draft item but a downdraft. Fueling was still aprob in certain rpm and boost areas and fuel leakage from boost was also a prob every couple of months Having said all this make sure u get the mixture checked with which ever way u go as all blow through systems take a lot of fooling around to get right and i mean alot hmmm i think that carb is still luying in a mates shed actually i hope this helps jamie [Updated on: Wed, 29 May 2002 22:54] [Report message to a moderator]
