Its strange i never liked king of fighters until i started getting into it (2000) .. it always seemed not as polished as the SF series. I was always a fan of SF, but something never really felt right with KOF...
I mean concept wise it's pretty cool and characters (sprites) too .. but the handling i guess and the movement of characters kinda throws me out.
I think the best polished street fighter to date is SF 3: Third impact (Cant get enough of that game! I used to be hooked on playing that against other players in box hill all the time!) closely followed by SF Zero.
KOF Vs Capcom was a very intresting concept, but it still feels like KOF and limited.
In the end I still choose SF, but KOF is pretty good! Long live the 2d fighting games!!
