JZ engines are about 3 times the length of an AE71 engine bay. OK not quite but you get the point - major structural modifications are required before the engine can even be bolted in. Those 2JZ powered AE86's in Japan are full-house drag cars, and I doubt they'd be much good for anything else.
If you just want to beat Honda's, there are far easier ways of doing it. A well-tuned 4A-GTE should be enough to dispatch almost any Honda.
