Drive the ga70 (2lt tt) and find out why $11K is far too much to pay for such a slow/gutless car. Even in immaculate condition.

You can certainly by a non-turbo Aussie delivered Ma70 and do a 1jz conversion if you have a jza70 front cut. I did that exact thing, going from a manual ma70 NA to a manual 1jz-tt. Virtually a "bolt in" procedure - but be prepared to do lots of unbolting and bolting in . No worries going from auto NA to manual 1jz as all the parts required are in the halfcut. There is no difference in the brakes between NA and turbo.
