This line of conversation probably should have mybe been PM'd, since it's turning into "being about me". I'm not a trophy-hound, I don't seek trophies... I took on this project to do something different and stand out against all the others. I've won one trophy for my car since I've owned it and that was for showing up on the day and being the only one eligible in my class. To me a trophy is something material to say thanks for your efforts and having the best car in that category. If I build a car for "me only", I'd never enter a competition like ToyotaFest. Because I'd be the only one who'd appreciate it. I do take the time to go through my thread and I do acknowledge that there are a lot of encouraging comments about it - but there's also people who openly state that it's not to their taste and that kinda shit. There's also that one utter tool that decided to hang shit on it for being a RAV4. Not a good idea. I made that comment about ToyotaFest because I had a lot of people saying to me that they couldn't wait to see it. Definitely a different story on the day. All I can say is thank God I didn't build a car that was going to be all-show and no go. PS: next time I think I'll be a little more circumspect about voicing opinions here...
