Ahhh... mine did that with the jap raditor when at WOT for a longish period of time (like a blast up the hills). I got the radiator pulled apart and cleaned - found it was blocked with a lot of shit and not working effectively. Apparently just flushing out doesn't remove all of the crap, they pull the radiator apart (top and bottom tanks removed) and use long brushes to clean out the core. I never noticed it overheating in the summer time in traffic, only when flat out for a period of time - as the heat load on the engine is much higher at WOT even though there is more airflow over the radiator.

In the end, I got a new radiator because the top tank on my jap one was cracked and they couldn't find another one to fit (a whole new long and expensive story).
