I have driven a few supercharged diesel hiluxes and was dissappointed every time. The standard diesel (NA) felt faster than a couple of them.
I think you would be far better off trying to research a QUALITY turbo kit that has fuel pump mods tied in as a part of the kit. With a diesel, the fuel pump and its fuel curve should be matched to the airflow curve of the turbo to achieve the best results.
With a GOOD turbo kit, you shouldn't lose any bottom end power, as the turbo isn't drawing power from the engine to turn.
