Paint stripper is fine if used correctly and properly removed with thinners(according to my painter who has been in the buisness for 30 years). It took me a few weekends to dismantle everthing. I originally bought it for $200 as a spare parts car for my RA23. It had spent most of its life in Canberra and it previous owner had done some questionable mods such as fitting mild steel bolts and washer to the front hubs to make FWD offset rims fit. The body was in very good shape with no rust at all around the screens. The only rust was a tiny patch in each rear quarter and around the taillights. I have also had all excess engine bay holes, badge holes, sill strip holes and the aerial hole removed. The guards have been modified and hand rolled for greater clearance. The indicator holes are modified for VT style indiactors. [Report message to a moderator]
