Wed, 10 November 2004 08:40 yeh thats the other thing.. daring to be different a 4axx will bolt pretty much straight in (with AE crossmembers and modified water outlets).. i'm just wondering on whether there is the same mount and clearance compatibility with the 7A-FE.. as for a wider parts base.. as far as i'm concered there are far more 1.8 litre nana pack corollas getting round than import levins.. i was talking about stock parts.. i'm planning extractors, exhaust, induction and possibly aftermarket ECU. Otherwise the engine will be stock as a rock. this goes for any engine that goes into the old girl. she weighs 900Kgs.. i think the 84kW or so the 7A-FE produces will be more than adequate. what would i expect to pay for one of these engines? when did they cease production? this is another point on which these engines compare favourably.. i figure that you could pick up a newer engine for the same price (or cheaper ) just a thought that i figured if it worked it would be well worth the effort thanks for those that gave suport (aswell as those who gave their honest opinion be it support or otherwise) keep the information coming Toby [Updated on: Wed, 10 November 2004 08:49] [Report message to a moderator]
