Thanks for the advice. I'm in Melb. I got a quote on repairing the BHG, they said it would be a max of $1,300. Just depends what they find when they pull it apart. She still drives fine (I've stopped driving now), so I suppose that the head is still OK. The oil has been in the car for nearly 10k and it still looks clean - another good sign??
