like has been already said, just grab the knob from the top of the backseat ( the one used to lay it flat ) unscrew the standard button, remove the spring, and replace with the newly aqquired seat knob....
this works really well, as i changed my handbrake to have a drift button ( spin turn knob ) pretty much the day i got my t18 and have had no problems with it so far...
as for the handbrake dis-engaging while parked on a hill, the only reason it would do so is if it were not applied properly in the first place, the handbrake itself was fucked to start with, or if something inside hits the knob with a fair amount of force!
and if your still worried about your pride and joy rolling down the street, park reasonably close to the curb, put the car in first, engage the handbrake, and turn your wheels to the curb so if it does try to roll away it will need alot of force and speed to do so...
