You are definitely thinking too much.

There are a whole host of reasons why engines run better when they are warm (the term "operating temperature" is apt).

Your turbo car is no different - and indeed your boost response will be affected in part by the oil temp (too cold and viscous) , exhaust gas temp, manifold and turbine housing temp.
