By the calculation, the correct original tyre diamter is 626.2mm, so you'll be looking for 205/55/16's, 225/50/16's, or 245/45/16's.
For handling, I'd definataely look at 16" wheels, going higher results in a sidewall ratio that can cause problems with grip and turn in, due to it's reduced ratio.
