A and B Tilt Trays wrote on Sun, 14 November 2004 20:12 | Being that light I'd only be able to put a small motor in hey. It's got be turbo.
Bit of a street/strip car (Promo Car For My Towing Bizz). Was thinking 12A turbo but i think i'll be lucky to be allowed to put in a 12A N/A. Might have to get it engineered with a 10A Turbo but slip in a 12A after its all cleared.
The reason I'd like to go a 12A is that it will fit in pretty easy. Not so squeezy.
I'll speek to a engineer...

rotor is small, but the driveline mounts high and i think you may need to cut out the tunnel to fit the gearbox...
as you say, 12A is not likely, being 2.4L cap (in NSW).
a 4AG doesn't weigh much more than the original 3K motor, and they respond well to turbo... so you will still have handling and ridiculous power.... 200rwkw is a reasonable number if you try and being 1.6L there is no issues with engineering (apart from brakes )
it's pretty common, but it does work well.

Thanx for that info dude...
