No not really, Unless you do compression lockups or something
like putting it in first when you're doing 120.
I've done a few compression lockups in my car and it's fine, except it won't change into fourth and there's metal and copper bits in my trans oil filter... hmm, maybe those lockups weren't such a good idea. I think it's just to gearbox falling apart in general because the cars done ~350,000 kms.
