yeah i just did mine in the ma61.. its an absolute twat to do. try and do everything u need to do below the carpet all in one hit (i.e. layering high db RCA leads and stuff for your amps)..dont think theyll be one piece though, mine was two pieces and they overlap under the seats, but yeah cutting and trimming is a pain. you shouldnt need soundproof stuff either coz it isnt goanna make fudge all difference.
make sure when u rip the existing carpet out that you DO NOT CHUCK IT OUT until you get your new one coz some carpets (like mine) dont ship with holes precut in them and you will need an afternoon and a stanley knife with you to draw in the template as per your old carpet and cut accordingly.
where possible also CAREFULLY prise off the underlay stuck to the bottom of the carpet in one piece, you will need this as a template to trace the outline for your new underlay with, and make sure u do put new underlay down under your new carpet because it will make it feel that little bit softer and springier.
in perth b-trimmed in ossie park will order you in a ae86 carpet from exact fit carpets in sa for about 150ish.. and its LUSH! they also sell the underlay for around 10 bucks a metre. 1 and a half metres is more than adequate to do a AE86..
