i was meant to be competing in it this week , in a perana v8 capri .. modifications are very strict on what can be done + what cars can enter .. they have had a 74 ta22 in it running a stroiked 2tg, still carby , with hilux/pug brakes in the compeditive list , and there was meant to be an early corolla levin entered this year as well Justso you know , the car will have to be in A1 presented form + be of a desired/rare sports heratige as far as i know. and yes as MWP said they are VERY VERY picky on what cars enter. Replicas can enter but must be of a condition to truely "replicate "the spirit of the original - half the escort guys for example run re-shelled RS escorts , as the cars can be bent up and rebirthed for the next event PS: they wouldnt let me enter my 1990 gt4 as a fallback for the perana as it was deemed too modern for the event , and also turbo + awd , which at current they dont seem to approve , unless its on a porsche PSS: have a BIG entry fee allowance saved up as well ( ie over 5 grand for the lesser categories ( we were in thoroughbred touring ) and higher for full compeditive) We'll be back next year in the perana capri - our entrys already been rolled over + our backup mark 2 escort should be ready around then too incase things go pear shaped again Oh and if anyone wants to know why im not running , it was because of an engine failure 1 week prior to the event ( and i have my entry sheets needed as proof if anyone doubts me ! ) [Updated on: Wed, 17 November 2004 23:32] [Report message to a moderator]
