Hey mate if you are ging to rebuild your 2tg and are using standard injection there are a lot of people that will agree it is not really worth it ($$ bang for bucks) compared to the twin carbs. I like injection, but my frineds have complained about the performance it provides, sure the car starts easier, and if you are going to force feed it its a must, but in standard form it is a bit lame.
The carbs sound nice, cheap (roughly $300 with manifold and linkages, sure they go out of tune a bit but are hell cheap compared to efi setup that will coist about $150-200 for the injection, $50 for AFM, $100 for efi fuel pump, $and and anywhere from $250-500 for a ECU (fuel only).
Speak to Rob (Inferno), he has the standard injection with the standatd ECU, and he is running the carb setup now so you can ask him for a comparison. Hope this is of some use, catchya, Pete.
